Who is jacob?
jacob wolos (he/they) is a queer and antizionist Jewish poet and scholar, a fiercely interdisciplinary artist-activist, and a zealous community organizer. He views these disparate identities as intertwined and integral to one another.
Their work is most intimately concerned with topics that involve migration, the transmission and distortion of collective memory, and vibrant materialism, and they are guided daily by the Ram Dass quote, “we are all just walking each other home.”
wolos is an adjunct professor, incorporating persuasive writing, literary criticism, and human rights activism. He also facilitates writing workshops and poetry open mics, occasionally works as a literary editor, and is a very, very passionate vegetable farmer.
